This makes me a little nervous. Doesn’t have a dedicated ground like some others do.
What do you expect? There’s nothing on it to ground. Have you ever seen a consumer appliance with a grounding pigtail and a spring clamp? That’s what would be required.
15A 120V GFCI outlets are only about $12 and should be installed to protect all kitchen, garage, and outdoor outlets where you are probably brewing regardless.
Use a GFCI outlet. If you don’t have a GFCI outlet in your kitchen, you can get a GFCI outlet adapter that you can plug in, then plug this into it. Just make sure whatever adapter you use is rated for 1350W!! That’s between 11-12A in the US, depending on what your mains voltage happens to be at (anywhere from 110 to 125V). Also, don’t plan to use anything much else on that circuit. Most outlets in the US are on circuits are rated for 15A.
