This is a re-conditioned 5 Gallon Pin Lock, Soda Keg (Coke style). This keg has been cleaned and soaked in a hot “Brew Clean” solution, re-rinsed, lubed and re-pressurized to check the seals. The kegs are in good shape, but could have small dings, dents or scratches. The lid features a gasket seal and a static pressure release valve. These will not effect the function of the kegs. Many have stickers on the outside. They might be of either Cornelius, Firestone (also called Spartenburg) or Italian construction. All types of kegs are manufactured to the same specifications and are of the same quality. The lids and O-rings are interchangeable. Many people prefer pin lock kegs when using in shorter Fridge or areas where height is important. They 22″ tall and 9″ Wide.
Please remember that these are used kegs. They will have dings, dents, stickers on the outside and could have some permanent staining that will not effect your beer. The tops and bottoms may have black material coming off that will leave black marks on your hands or other areas. This is due to sun exposure and is very common in used kegs. If you want a perfect keg we sell new kegs as well.

Good used pin locks have been hard to find… When I started brewing pin locks were cheaper than ball locks, but that has changed. There’s been a real reversal in used keg pricing. Used pin locks have been tough to find in stock, especially at anything close to what I would call a good price. This is supply related. New pin lock kegs are not coming into the homebrewing market and we’ve finally hit an availability wall.

Pin Lock Keg Pricing Commentary…
There’s been a real reversal in used keg pricing. For example, see MoreBeer’s Pin Lock Offering. I’m guessing this is related to availability. New pin lock kegs are not coming into the homebrewing market and we’ve finally hit an availability wall. Along those lines, this is the best deal I’m aware of for a pin lock keg. If you’re a devoted pin lock user, now is the time to pick some up.
Recommendation: Now is the time to buy kegs, especially pin locks
Considering the current climate, if you’re a pin lock user. I think now is the time to stock up. Things have been getting consistently worse and worse on the pin lock front. The same has been generally true for ball lock kegs, but the process has been slower than pin locks.
