I’m looking into getting something like that. However, I’ve been told 50 pounds of kibble is not 50 pounds of grain. Kibble has a lot more space between kernels. I’ve been told the 40 pound vittles vault is a better size for 50 pounds of grain.
Hi Lee, Yes pet food doesn’t equal grain volume. You’re right that you can typically get more grain vs pet food and 50 lbs in a 40 lb container is generally doable. for the stacking angled vittles vault like this sometimes it’s necessary to orient the container on it’s back to get 50 lbs in. The larger 60 lb version gives you some more breathing room.
I use a 13 gallon Vittles Vault as a fermenter and it works great!
