Filter beer like the pros, only on a smaller scale. Most small breweries and wineries use a large plate filter system to achieve clear beer or wine. Now you can do the same at home. Our new plate filter has a larger surface area, which means more yeast and particulate extraction.
Each filtering session requires two filter pads at a time, and each pad must be the same micron to work. The product is pushed into the housing at 5 PSI and passes on either side of the plate filter housing, then gets forced through the filter pads to the center, where it is pushed out into your awaiting collection vessel, such as a keg or tank.
Includes 2 X 24″ long hoses (5/16″ ID x 7/16″ OD)
Made from ABS plastic. Temperature rated to 167°F (75°C).

An easy way to eliminate chill haze in your finished beer is to add one vial of Clarity Ferm to your fermenter prior to the onset of fermentation. Use 1 vial per 5 gallon batch.
For the beer geek (but still simplified!):
Chill haze is caused in your fermenter during aging when polyphenols and polypetides bond together. Clarity ferm cleaves polypetides (a protein fraction) so they cannot bond with polyphenols (tannin). This product is also known as Brewer’s Clarex.
There are also discussions and testing being done with this product, finding that it reduces gluten levels in beer. Gluten is the protein that Gluten-Intolerant (Coeliac) folks need to avoid or greatly reduce consumption of. Always consult a Doctor first before use in this application.
Features:
An enzyme that is effective at preventing chill haze
Increases shelf-life and product consistency
Does not alter beer flavor or aroma
Has no effect on head retention
Can produce gluten-reduced* beers made with barley (*The majority of beers test below 10ppm gluten when used in the correct dosage)

Whirl floc tablets are an enhanced blend of Irish moss and purified carrageenan that aids in the coagulation and settling of haze-producing proteins and beta glucans. Use one tablet per 5 gallon batch and add it with 5 minutes remaining in the boil. Yes, 5 minutes is correct. According to the manufacturer, if Whirl floc is in the boil for any longer than 10 minutes, the active ingredients become denatured and therefore will not do their job.

About: The beer filter gets installed inline between two ball lock Cornelius kegs using CO2 pressure to push the beer out of the full keg through the filter and into the clean keg. This kit is designed to filter out particles down to 1 micron, which is considered fine filtration. At one micron the beer will be clear after filtration provided you do not have a starch haze. Filtering also accelerates the conditioning process to just a few days. The beer filtering kit comes with one 10″ filter housing, a 1 micron 10″ spun poly sediment filter, fittings for connection to the filter housing, 3′ of beverage line, clamps, and two beverage out ball lock quick disconnects. You want to drink your beer soon. During conditioning, a lot of what we’re doing is waiting for stuff to fall out of suspension. Filtering hastens that process.
You want to transport your kegged beer. Transporting your beer stirs up anything that’s in the bottom of the keg. Filtering means you don’t need to worry about stirring a bunch of stuff up.
Clarity. You’re interested in having great clarity for a particular style of beer.
You have a problem with your beer. Filtering down to the sterile filter level may remove off flavors. That’s a maybe.
