Take your beer with you when you go to the beach, camping, a game, or to a party. Our Paintball Tank Mini Regulator fits any standard C02 paintball tank (sold and refilled at sporting goods stores) without the need for adapters.

The system is built around a 0-12 psi C02 regulator that features precise adjustment. This is the regulator to choose if you plan on dispensing your beer and want precise dispensing pressure control, and do not plan on carbonating, which requires higher pressures of 15 to 25 PSI.

The flared outlet on the side can be attached to any threaded female ¼” flare fittings, such as our D03 Gas Connector. Change it into a ¼” hose barb if desired by ordering our D66 Barbed Adapter. The regulator is 3 1/8″ tall when not attached to a Paintball tank.

The regulator does not include a needed C02 paintball tank. These can be purchased at many large box retailers and sporting goods stores, and can also be filled and refilled at these stores inexpensively. They generally come in sizes ranging from 12 ounce to 24 ounce, with 20 ounces being the most popular.

Troubleshooting and Fixing DuoTight Leaks

Kegland’s DuoTight Fittings are designed to work with EVABarrier Double Wall Tubing.  They offer quick, reliable connections, easy implementation, a variety of fitting options and feature amazing versatility.  They’re also, generally speaking, very well priced.  DuoTights are push to connect fittings and require no tubing clamps.

I’ve done several pressure tests with DuoTight Fittings and EVABarrier Tubing. Each test has proven the tested components were leak free. Having said that, it’s entirely possible that you’ll have a leak. This happens with any tubing system, that’s why we… check for leaks.

I have a write up for addressing DuoTight Leaks that will walk you through some things to check.

One of the things that I do that really helps is use Valuebrew’s DuoTight Compatible Locking Clips. These snap into the collar of DuoTight Fittings and lock connections in place. This makes the connection more secure and reduces the chances of leakage.

CO2 manifolds allow you to feed multiple kegs off one co2 regulator.  Things to look for in a capable manifold are shut-off valves for each trunk and check valves.  Check valves makes sure flow goes the right directly.  This is important for CO2 manifolds because differences in pressure make it possible for liquid to back flow through gas lines.

This 8mm Duotight compatible regulator with 0-60 PSI gauge fits 8mm outer diameter EvaBarrier tubing. Suitable for gas, all components are food grade. The included gauge is accurate to plus or minus 6 PSI.

Note: This unit comes with a 0-60 PSI gauge that is only ¾” in diameter. If you intend to use this regulator in the 10 to 30 PSI range, you will need to order optional gauge C93, which reads 0-30 PSI. Below 10 psi, this regulator is not very accurate. You will also need EvaBarrier tubing to connect this regulator, either our item number Z91 or Z92.

This is perfect for reducing the pressure of one gas line in a draft system – for example, with a single regulator and C02 bottle, you can set the pressure at the C02 bottle with the larger regulator (not included) and then put this regulator inline to reduce the pressure. Handy for when you want to carbonate one keg at 25 PSI and dispense another at 10 PSI.

Why a two pressure regulator?  A two pressure regulator gives you the ability to keep kegs at different pressures.  This is a requirement to maintain two distinct carbonation levels.  It’s also handy if you want to force carbonate a keg more quickly, at a higher pressure, while maintaining your standard serving pressure on a keg that’s already being served or if you want to have a utility line for purging kegs and such.

The Komos™ Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator offers high quality and durability at an affordable price. The robust body and precision diaphragm provide high flow rates, and the pressure can be easily and precisely adjusted with the hand dial. Extra thick stainless gauges come with rubber bumpers for added protection. The dial faces are triple-scaled to read in psi, bar and kPa.

The PRV is rated to 4.5 bar (65 psi) for added safety while in use. Comes with male flare thread gas-out with included 1/4″ barb and nut. Easily swap out the barb to a different size if desired. On the back of the regulator body are three M6 screw holes for mounting (screws not included).

Why a two pressure regulator?  A two pressure regulator gives you the ability to keep kegs at different pressures.  This is a requirement to maintain two distinct carbonation levels.  It’s also handy if you want to force carbonate a keg more quickly, at a higher pressure, while maintaining your standard serving pressure on a keg that’s already being served or if you want to have a utility line for purging kegs and such.

Hands On Review: Weekend Brewer CO2 Manifold

Why a Manifold?

CO2/Gas Distribution Manfiolds allow you to easily split CO2 lines so that you can use a single tank and regulator for multiple kegs.

What to Look for in a manifold

Some features to look for when shopping for a manifold are individual trunk control, integrated check valves, the right connection type, good build quality and… no leaks!

  • Individual control is really straight forward… a ball valve for each trunk.
  • As far as check valves, those are designed to prevent backflow between lines.  Although these are gas lines we’re talking bout, differences in pressure can cause back-feeding beer to flow into gas lines.  Check valves help to prevent that.
  • Look for a compatible connection type – MFL/Flare or the right size barb fitting.
  • Good general build and material quality
  • And… This may sound obvious, but…. look for something that does not leak.  Leaky manifolds result empty CO2 tanks and those are no fun.

Hands on Review The Weekend Brewer 4-way MFL CO2 Distributor Manifold

This particular model features four trunks with 1/4″ MFL Fittings along with a 1/4″ MFL inputClose up of the ball valve.  These feature inline check valves to help prevent back flow.  I chose 1/4″ MFL but the weekend brewer has lots of options available, including a build your own option, linked below.A look at the gas inlet.  MFL “in” connections like this seem to be more difficult to come by.  A barbed inlet seems to be more common.
