“Features a 0-30 psi C02 regulator that features precise adjustment via the calibrated top adjustment knob. It features a inline stainless check valve between the regulator and the ball lock fitting to protect it from backflowing beer. With this 0-30 PSI model, you can both dispense and force carbonate. Fits ball-lock kegs and only weighs 9 ounces.

The flared outlet on the side that goes to the stainless ball lock fitting can be unscrewed and leaves a 1/8″ female NPT port. Into this port you can screw any 1/8″ NPT male thread hose barb or threaded outlet.

The regulator does not include a pictured cartridge, you will be offered a chance to order these when you put this in your cart. Note that C02 cartridges cannot be shipped by air or express, and cannot be shipped outside the lower 48 states due to aviation and postal regulations.“

Serve Homebrew on Any Kegerator & Convert Commercial Kegerator to Homebrew

Homebrew and Commercial Kegerators do the same thing.  They chill beer and allow you to serve it.  Each has lines for gas (typically CO2) and beer.  The only difficult thing about switching back and forth are the fittings and taps.

Commercial kegs use commercial keg couplers or taps.  These taps vary based on the brewery.  A typical style for US kegs is Sanke type D.  Commercial taps typically handle liquid and gas in single unit while homebrew couplers separate these out into gas and liquid quick disconnects.

The D-Style sanke keg beer tap is the most commonly-used keg coupler in the U.S. If you’re going to serve commercial draft beer that was made in the US and is dispensed from your standard American sankey keg, this is the keg coupler you’ll need.

Made in America by Taprite, this keg coupler features a lock-down mechanism that produces a satisfying “click” when engaged. Its heavy-duty construction is designed to withstand frequent commercial use, so you know it’ll last for years at home. It features a built-in pressure relief valve for safety.

To dispense beer, gas is pushed into the keg through the tap’s side port and the beer exits through the top port.

The tail piece, hex nut or gasket for dispensing beer out of the top port must be purchased separately. We offer a pre-made kit with a 1/4” tailpiece (D1720B), as well as a range of other tailpiece sizes to match whatever diameter beer line you’re using.

This has an integral inline shutoff valve.  That means when you disengage/de-couple this QD is stops the flow of gas.

I use similar QDs on the gas side of my system.  With those, I can swap out lines, remove lines from my kegerator and add on utility devices.  You could also use these to easy swap between ball and pin lock lines.
