Moonraker Brewing Companys Space Nectar Hazy IPA via MoreBeer
From the recipe description, check product page for current description, price and availability:
When galaxies collide, stars and planets alike are ripped apart with all types of matter being flung hither and yon. Luminescent particles are scattered to the ether, condemned to wander the void or bound to coalesce into new celestial bodies. Some believe that amongst the chaos of colliding fragments, a mythical form of cosmic dust condenses into Space Nectar—matter so delicious that our Terra-bound taste buds would surely find it incomprehensible. Physics be damned, Moonraker Brewing Company’s extraordinary Hazy IPA is the best estimation of what it may be like to take in this heavenly ambrosia. Space Nectar overflows with flavors of peach, apricot and orange sherbet. Over half of the hop bill is comprised of Cryo Hops® which lend a clean, pungent aroma to this absolute juice bomb. A healthy helping of pale wheat malt and flaked wheat provide the perfect amount of fuzz to complement the bright notes of stone fruit.
Moonraker’s head brewer, Brad Johnson, recommends cooling the wort to 170°F before adding the whirlpool addition to really make those hops pop. Ferment with Imperial Juice A38 or similar strain to add the ideal finishing touch.
MoreBeer’s Kit of the Week offers a 20% discount on a select recipe for a limited time. Choose from all grain or extract versions while supplies last.
Shipping is also free to many US addresses with a qualifying $59 order

Chocolate and Black Patent malts are the backbone of this style. Our all-grain version of Porter features munich malt for a little maltiness and carapils for better mouthfeel and head retention. The Northern Brewer hops impart a nice, but not overpowering bitterness. Good first dark beer. However, for many people, this is their favorite style. Just ask Regan who is a Porter nut. All of our Porter recipes are descendants of his designs which date back to the 1980s. You will not find any Roasted Barley in our Porter recipes as we believe this is the defining difference between Stout and Porter. If you would like to see the difference for yourself try making our B3 Stout (in extract) or our Silk Stout in all grain form and then one of our Porters. It is fun to have them on tap at the same time and show people the difference in dark beers.

Jim was looking for a dark, smooth, creamy mouth feel stout just like an Australian stout he had tasted years ago. Over the years, Jim found a clone that was close but needed some small changes. After many trials and test batches, he came up with this recipe that is very drinkable when it is fresh. It will get smoother with a couple months of aging and creaminess added by the lactose makes this a very good winter warming stout. Jim hopes you enjoy this beer as much as he has. Jim recommends WLP004 Irish ale yeast.
Makes 5 gallons
Estimated Original Gravity: 1.052-56
SRM (Color Range): 41
IBUs: 39-43
Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.0-5.5%

Nuts and chocolate, together in a beer at last! Nut Nibbler is a smooth and delicious American Porter that utilizes British yeast for a special base beer. Brewer Michael Beck, who took the Brewer’s Vote with this recipe at the 2022 Indy Brew Battle, gently toasts cacao nibs and unsalted macadamia nuts, which he then adds in with the grains to infuse a dose of roasty chocolate and nut character into the beer. Perfect for the winter months, this beer features an array of malts that bring out the toasty, chocolatey flavors of the beer. Some Willamette and East Kent Goldings round the beer out and give it just enough bold hop character to balance out the flavor profile, including one hop addition added in with the grains. If you like well-balanced dark beers with a bit of special character, you’ll love Nut Nibbler!
Available in extract and all grain recipes. Note that you’ll need to add 3 oz macadamia nuts.

Haze Craze is our take on the hazy North East IPA, also known as New England IPA or Juicy IPA, it is one of the fastest growing beer styles in the US. The style accentuates hop character while maintaining a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Light in color but hazy due to heavy dry hopping, yeast selection, as well as additions of oat and wheat . Low in bitterness with a huge hop character due to hop-bursting, this beer will satiate even the biggest hop head.
The North East IPA has become popular nationwide thanks to breweries like Tree House Brewing, The Alchemist, Hill Farmstead and Grimm Artistanal Ales. After my first taste of this delicious style, I knew that brewing it at home was a must.
