Quick Disconnects are a favorite among homebrewers for their ability to quickly move from one configuration to another.

With the Brass Quick Disconnect Set you can easily connect and disconnect your water line to various equipment. These QD’s must be placed in a configuration where water is always exiting the female portion of the QD and entering the male portion of the QD. For example the Female threads x Female QD portion is placed on the end of the hose while the Male QD portion is connected to your equipment.

This set includes one Male GHT (Garden Hose Thread) x Male QD and one Female GHT x Female QD.

We sell several adapter pieces that allow you convert GHT to male or female 1/2 inch pipe thread or 1/2 inch hose barb, making it a snap mount these QDs on just about any piece in your brewery.

Please Note: This product will NOT work with our Stainless Steel or Plastic Quick Disconnects.

Quick disconnects make connecting and disconnecting things on brew day easier. I have QDs (a different brand) on every hose connection I use on brew day, including sprayers and my wort chiller.

Luer Locks disconnects are generally used in medical and industrial applications. Compatible male and female Luer Locks twist together to make a airtight, pressure capable connection.

I use Luer Lock style connectors for a CO2 utility line for my draft system. That allows me to quickly and easily switch between a number of CO2 utility attachments that I don’t use on a day to day basis. The reason I chose Luer Locks is that they are generally inexpensive. You could also use these as a primary disconnect for your CO2 system.

Camlock QDs at PFD! I’ve used ProFlow Dynamics Quick Disconnects on my kettles, mash tun, pumps and tubing for a longtime. They have worked great for me. I put male connectors kettles, mash tuns and pumps and use female connectors for tubing. Standardizing on this (or the opposite) means you can use tubing as jumpers and always have the availability to connect your gear.

These are made from Stainless Steel and are available in lots of configurations. Those are classified by Type and Size. Type may mean something in “commercial cam lock fitting circles”, but I was initially confused by this. Types are akin to model numbers. For example, Type A is Female NPT to Male Cam and Groove.

This plastic quick disconnect set features 1/4″ barb.
Shutoffs(check valve) prevent leakage when disconnected.Use these high quality, food-grade quick-disconnects on your gas and beer tubing lines.
These couplings make it very easy to swap out couplers and other beer and air side accessories.
Made of Food-grade plastic with stainless steel springs and NSF approved.
The temperature range is -40F to 180F.They can handle a vacuum to 80 psi – so you need not worry about them leaking gas.

These are valved disconnects. When they are disengaged a shut off mechanism stops the flow of gas or liquid.
