Luer Locks disconnects are generally used in medical and industrial applications.  Compatible male and female Luer Locks twist together to make a airtight, pressure capable connection.

I use Luer Lock style connectors for a CO2 utility line for my draft system.  That allows me to quickly and easily switch between a number of CO2 utility attachments that I don’t use on a day to day basis.  The reason I chose Luer Locks is that they are generally inexpensive.  You could also use these as a primary disconnect for your CO2 system.

The BlowTie is a diaphragm based adjustable spunding valve used to release pressure from kegs and other pressure vessels. It features a usable range of 4 to 15 PSI, and the diaphragm construction means it has a wider pressure range than spring based spundling valves. This unit can be easily disassembled for cleaning using a phillips head screw driver. Accuracy of the gauge is plus or minus 2 PSI.

Building a Dry Hopper for Corny Kegs – Dry Hop Under Pressure!

Benefits of Fermenting Under Pressure + The Challenges of Dry Hopping Under Pressure

Fermenting under pressure has some great benefits. One of the challenges that using this method presents is… dry hopping. When fermenting under pressure the beer is carbonated. Adding dry hops to a fermented and carbonated beer, especially one at relatively warm fermentation temps equates to a Mentos+Diet Coke sort of situation. The hops provide lots and lots of nucleation points that can cause the beer to erupt expelling foam all over the place in the process denaturing head retaining proteins.

FermZilla fermenters from Kegland have a ready made solution called the Hop Bong. It allows you easily dry hop under pressure. Since the beer and dry hops are under pressure you don’t have foaming problems when dry hopping.

Mirroring our pressurized growler line, we chose our tried and true regulator cap that lets you fine tune your PSI for perfect carbonation based on each beverage style, not a ‘one pressure fits all’. Finally, the dual ball valve posts let you plug this bad boy right into your kegerator for simple, easy setup and enjoyment of your favorite craft beer or cocktail creations.

Made from 100% 304 stainless steel with 1.5″ and 3″ TC connections the Uni is truly a full fledged unitank complete with a 1.5″ dump valve for easy trub dumps. Brewers will love the Uni for pro style small batch fermentation! The serving port features a fully functional racking arm complete with sanitary sample/serving valve. The first in class combo PRV / spunding valve is a true work of art! Simply set your max psi, ferment under pressure / or not, and rest easy knowing the prv will always keep your unit safe.

Stainless steel is the material of choice for brewing equipment in general. For fermentors, that is especially the case. It is an ideal material for a fermentor because of its cleanability. Stainless is resistant to staining, is durable for scrubbing, and compatible with different cleaners. In contrast to plastic HDPE buckets, stainless can keep oxygen out of your fermenting wort.

Delta Brewing Systems offers a handful of homebrewing products, selling them since 2019. They sell two versions of their Fermtank stainless fermentor. The two have a lot of the same core features, but the recently released Fermtank with Tri-Clamps ups the game in a lot of key areas. The most obvious difference to other fermentors is the 8-gallon size. That size is designed to allow extra volume into the fermentor for those batches where you have a lot of dry hop debris left over (and thus you leave more liquid behind than you normally would). On paper, an 8-gallon fermentor sounds like overkill for a 5-gallon batch, but it’s designed to support all kinds of variations to get you 5 gallons into your serving keg. There are volume markings etched inside, starting at 3 gallons. The optional chilling coil extends down to the 3-gallon level (meaning if you want to chill your wort, you need more than 3 gallons). The thermowell sits at 3.75 gallons.

The BlowTie is a diaphragm based adjustable spunding valve used to release pressure from kegs and other pressure vessels. It features a usable range of 4 to 15 PSI, and the diaphragm construction means it has a wider pressure range than spring based spundling valves. This unit can be easily disassembled for cleaning using a phillips head screw driver. Accuracy of the gauge is plus or minus 2 PSI.
