Label Peelers has discounted malt extract (both Liquid/LME and Dry/DME) by a whopping 40%. List prices are a bit on the high side, but the net result is very good prices.
No coupon code is required.
Shipping is an additional cost based on your location. Because of minimum shipping costs, it may make sense to place a larger order. Additional items may ship for minimal cost. Example: Shipping (for me) for 1 lb of Citra is $8.93. 2 lbs cost $9.18 to ship. That second pound costs just 25 cents to ship. That’s minimum shipping at work.
The discount should be reflected on each product page. Includes small offerings all the way up to bulk 50 lb bags. Malsters include Alexander’s, Briess and Muntons. Varieties include Dark, Light, Amber, PIlsen, Wheat, Munich and more.

Great Fermentations is proud to give you the ability to order custom grain/malt bills, prepared exactly how you want them! Our website allows you to add individual grains to a specific “Grain Bill” which tells us if you want the grains mixed together or not. You can also tell us if you want them separate from other grains, as well as whether or not they should be crushed. Lastly, we also give you the ability to order individual grains in fractional increments; no need to buy a full pound of something you only need a quarter pound of! We do this all for free as well, with no additional charges to you because we know getting exactly what you need is important for your brew day.
GRAIN BILLS & CRUSH OPTIONS
Each grain we sell on the website, comes with a couple of drop down boxes that allow you to choose if you want the grain crushed or not, and which grain bill to add the specific grain to. The Crush Grains option is pretty self-explanatory; select either Yes or No for whether or not you want your grains crushed.
For the Grain Billoption, this is how you tell us how to mix this particular grain with any of the other grain you are purchasing. Have a recipe that calls for some 2-Row and some Crystal 60, and you’d like them both put in one bag together? Then simply choose the Grain Bill 1 option when adding them to the cart. The site gives you the ability to create up to 15 different grain bills. You also have the option of keeping the grains separate by simply selecting that option.
FRACTIONAL QUANTITIES
This feature is probably the one we are most happy with on our site, and that is the ability to order grains in increments LESS than a pound. Most other stores only allow you to order in increments of a pound, so that you are often left with extra grain that you don’t need and it goes to waste. Not with us though 🙂
Each grain we sell on the website allows you to input decimal numbers in the quantity field to specify the exact amount of grain you want; no more and no less. Grain quantities are in pounds so enter the decimal amount you need in pounds. Need just a quarter pound of chocolate malt? Then simply put 0.25 in the quantity field (1/4 is a quarter, and equals 0.25). The same goes for larger amounts as well. Need 10 1/2 lbs of 2-Row? Then simply put 10.5 in the quantity field.
NOTE: We can only be accurate up to the hundredth decimal (0.XX). Also for users of software programs like BeerSmith, many of the sub-pound increments are represented as ounces (oz) by default, so make sure to translate those to pounds! If the recipe software calls for 4 oz, that is 1/4 lb. so add 0.25 to the cart. As a reference, there are 16 oz in a lb.

Bulk grain deals are hard to come by: It’s tough to find deals on full sacks of grain. The per lb price on full sacks of grain is usually pretty great. The downside is online sellers generally do not ship this for free or for a flat rate. You still may do okay paying calculated shipping, but many times the shipping costs negate and per lb savings.
MoreBeer has 10 lbs of Briess 2 Row for $10.69. That is the largest size that still qualifies for free shipping to addresses in the contiguous US. If you buy 17 x 10 lbs, you’re total would be $181.73. Coupon code EZ30 will make it $151.73. This figures to about 89 cents per lb and equates to about $44.62 per 50 lb bag and you still get free shipping. You can easily mix and match and pick up multiple malt varieties in 10 lb increments and come about close to the same.
Yes, free shipping does work. Bags of grain do not qualify for free shipping from MoreBeer. However… 10 lb bags do. If you get in on this deal you will get 17 x 10 lb bags of grain,

Bulk Grain Deal + Shipping Workaround: This sale applies to Viiking 2 row pale ale malt. The 10 lb size is the largest that qualifies for free shipping. It’s selling for just $7.99 for the unmilled version.
Purchase 22 of those and your pre-discount total would be $175.78. Apply coupon code EZ30 and you’ll save another $30. Your discounted total will be $145.78. That figures to just 66 cents per lb of the equivalent of $33.13 per 50 lb sack and… free shipping is still free to addresses in the contiguous 48 US States. Whammo!
Yes, free shipping works: Although bags of grain do not ship under MoreBeer’s free shipping program… this is a loophole of sorts. I chose the largest size that DOES ship for free. If you use this technique you will receive 22 x 10 lb bags of grain, not a single 50 lb sack.

One of the homebrews that stood out to me while attending a past Homebrewer’s Conference, homebrewcon in Grand Rapids, Michigan was an IPA that was served by Brewer’s Supply Group (BSG) at their booth at the Conference. It was… delicious. Roasty, great hop character and easy to drink. I swung by for two samples and shortly returned… for a third and it was gone. After the conference, I got a hold of BSG to ask about the beer. I learned that it was formulated and brewed by Juno Choi. Juno kindly shared the recipe with me and I’d like to share it with you. Thank you Juno!
The recipe features 100% Patagonia Malts from Chile. Those were new to me and I think relatively new to the homebrew market here in the US, because… I had a very difficult time sourcing the grain for this recipe. After looking around a bit, I contacted Bryan at Great Fermentations. They already carried Patagonia, just not not all three varieties that this recipe calls for. Bryan kindly sourced the remaining grains and has stocked them at Great Fermentations. Thank you Bryan!
15% Off: As of this posting, Great Fermentations is taking 15% off most things when you spend $100. Patagonia Malts and included! Grab the full details and coupon code.

Xtra Pale is a modern 2-row base malt designed for very light-colored ales. While it works great as the base malt for any ale, it is particularly perfect for today’s extra light colored pale ales and IPAs.
Xtra pale is germinated like a pale malt to have a high degree of modification for easy brew house conversion. However, it is then uniquely Kilned like a pilsner malt for a very light color in the 1.7 to 1.9 Lovibond range. The result is a malt that easily and quickly converts like a true pale ale malt, but is as light or lighter than most Pilsner malts.
Morebeer! Pro worked with Viking to design this malt based on numerous customer requests. Unique light-colored barley varietals were chosen and the germination and kilning processes were selected to get the best of both worlds. Compared to other 2-row base malts on the market that were originally designed for big breweries, and are neither true Pilsner or true Pale Malts, Xtra Pale was specifically designed for light, craft-brewed ales.
