18+ Liter Ball Lock Keg | Fully Remanufactured (AEB/SAFER/Cornelius)
These are top-tier, refurbished Corny kegs made of stainless steel. With stainless steel costs climbing and high-quality used kegs becoming increasingly scarce, this is an offer you won’t want to overlook.
Every keg in our collection undergoes a comprehensive refurbishment process. This includes deep cleaning, machine polishing, and the replacement of o-rings on the lid, PRV, as well as liquid and gas dip tubes, in addition to two o-rings on each post. These kegs are all sourced from elite brands, including AEB, SAFER, and CORNELIUS.
Additional Information on Our Refurbished Kegs:
Though these kegs are pre-owned, they may exhibit minor cosmetic imperfections such as small dings and scratches that couldn’t be completely polished away. None of these issues impact their functionality.
After the cleaning and polishing operations, some residue might be present on either the keg’s exterior or its rubber components. While it may transfer onto your hands, this is merely a reminder that all kegs—whether new or used—need to be meticulously cleaned before usage. Proper sanitization is also crucial before filling them with any beverage.
A subset of these kegs has experienced sun damage to the rubber areas, affecting the seal. This could lead to the formation of black marks, particularly when the rubber is wet, although this is less likely when it’s dry.
Lastly, you might find some kegs with double o-rings on their posts. While this may appear out of the ordinary, rest assured they function as effectively as those with single o-rings.
Diameter: 8-7/8″ (225mm)
Height: 22-1/4″ (565mm)
Weight: 9 lbs 9oz (4.34kg)
Volume: 4.75 gallons (18 liters) but some are also slightly more in full volume
Post Thread Size: 9/16-18 UNF Thread on both the IN and Out.
The fact is… the era of cheap and readily available used homebrew kegs is… done. I could give you a bunch of reasoning behind that opinion including one of the best sources for used kegs… de-listing used kegs, but I’ve got a regularly updated article on the topic you can check out.
Keg Connection Says…

They have been meticulously cleaned, machine-polished, and fitted with new o-rings including the lid, pressure relief valve, and both liquid and gas dip tubes. Plus, we’ve added two new o-rings on each post.”

Brand New ITALIAN MADE Keg Lids – $18 w/Coupon + Premium Refurbished Kegs!
New Italian Lid for Cornelius or Firestone Kegs via Keg Connection
More Info
From the product description, check product page for current description, price and availability:
Cornelius Style Lid manufactured in Italy by AEB
This is the highest quality lid on the market. It features a metal pressure relief valve and is constructed of Stainless Steel. Most lids are now made in China, but this one is made in Italy! This lid will fit all standard Ball Lock and Pin Lock kegs (except “Racetrack Style Kegs which have straight sides vs oval holes for the lids)
In most cases, Pin lock and ball lock cornelius style keg lids are interchangeable from a size perspective. That means you can, generally speaking, put a pepsi/ball lock style (manual prv) lid on a coke/pin lock style (no manual prv) keg. In my book, that’s a solid upgrade. See: What’s the Difference Between Ball Lock Kegs and Pin Lock Kegs?
- These are selling for $18.95
- HBF Readers Save More! Coupon code HBF5OFF saves you 5% off EVERYTHING site wide. Stacks with all non-coupon sales
- This makes these $18.
- These also fall under Keg Connection’s Flat Rate Shipping Promotion. Your entire order ships for one flat rate, no matter how much you order, to addresses in the contiguous US.

18+ Liter Ball Lock Keg | Fully Remanufactured (AEB/SAFER/Cornelius) | SEE DESCRIPTION
More Info
From the product description, check product page for current description, price and availability:
“People have been receiving these new PREMIUM REMANUFACTURED KEGS and already love them! That’s because there hasn’t been a used keg on the market in this good of condition, EVER. They’re ‘used’ in a literal sense but each of these kegs has undergone an extensive refurbishing process. They have been meticulously cleaned, machine-polished, and fitted with new o-rings including the lid, pressure relief valve, and both liquid and gas dip tubes. Plus, we’ve added two new o-rings on each post.”

1/4″ MFL CO2 Manifolds – easy conversion to DuoTight! + Premium Refurbished Kegs!
3 Way CO2 Distributor with Check Valves via Keg Connection
More Info
From the product description, check product page for current description, price and availability:
CO2 Air Distributor / Manifold for Draft Beer with Check Valves, 3 Way
Assembled in the USA from high quality components, by our experienced staff for over 15 years. We take price in every air distributor we make and provide you with a 5 year, written warranty.
Vigorously tested under pressure using an industry standard soap leak test method.
We use both Teflon and NSF approved, USA made, Rectorseal “Tru-Blu” Pipe Thread Sealant for a double leak proof seal. These products also allow for easy removal for changes or future repairs. It is also vibration resistant.
Customize to fit your needs. Change inlet and outlet sizes.
You can use this to expand current air distributors / manifolds. Just choose 1/4″ MPT and add to existing body!
Our bodies are made from quality extruded aluminum and we use high quality brass components.
Check valves are used to ensure gas goes out, but no liquid can come back in should you have a negative pressure situation. This can happen with beer and soda distribution and damage regulators or other components, make sure your air distributor has check valves! The valves are constructed of brass and the valves can turn off in either direction.
Features mounting holes for easy mounting in Kegerators, Keezers or on a wall.
Can be used for splitting beer lines between different kegs of beer, soda, kombucha or other liquids. Can also be used for force carbonating situations. Turn off all the other valves and use one or more to force carbonate. You can always turn off lines independently that you are not using.
CO2 manifolds allow you to feed multiple kegs off one co2 regulator. Things to look for in a capable manifold are shut-off valves for each trunk and check valves. Check valves makes sure flow goes the right directly. This is important for CO2 manifolds because differences in pressure make it possible for liquid to back flow through gas lines.
Keg Connection has an extensive lineup of CO2 manifolds. They sport check valves, MFL barbs (choose from 1/4″ or 5/16″) and ball valves for each run. the body is crafted from extruded aluminum. These are also tested for leaks. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 way configurations are available
This particular model has MFL ball valves. You can also choose and MFL inlet port. Because you can choose MFL/flare for all connections, that means you can easily convert it to DuoTight. See my post on putting together a DuoTight Manifold
- For whatever reason MFL equipped manifolds are harder to find.
- Shipping is a flat fee no matter how much you order to addressed in the contiguous US.

Keg Connection Says… These are the best kegs we’ve ever seen + HBF Readers Save More!
From Keg Connection…
These premium refurbished homebrew kegs are more recently produced than most used kegs and they’re in fantastic condition. Lightly used in the coffee industry, we’ve also taken the time to de-sticker and scrape these kegs making them closely resemble new kegs. Obviously, they’ll still some minor dents and possibly small dings as they are used – however, we’re confident that you’ll agree these are some of the best used kegs seen in recent years.
They have pre-installed new o-rings on them to eliminate any residual coffee scents and they’ve gone thru our rigorous quality assurance check which includes a thorough cleaning, pressure testing, and carefully packed shipping to ensure you receive a keg you’ll be fully satisfied with.
From HBF…
Normally I don’t really buy into the highly refurbished sort of a keg offerings because, you can buy a dirty keg and easily rebuild it yourself and save money.
However… these are AEB kegs. AEB makes some of the quality kegs on the market. See my Hands on Review to learn more.

It also sounds like these kegs are in outstanding shape. So considering the sale price of $89.95 and flat rate shipping, I think this is a great deal.

Overnight Mashing Experiment
We’ve been accused of old dogs who reject new tricks but we’ve been trying to change things up lately. For example, we started implementing pressure fermentation and LOVED the results. So, when a podcast listener asked about overnight mashing, we decided to try it out ourselves.
Our results might surprise you!
Watch as James Carlson from CMBecker shows the way we try out overnight mashing. Please let us know in the comments how YOU do it; do you keep your heat source on and recirculation on too? Do you find that an Igloo style cooler maintains heat the best if you aren’t doing electric brewing?
Any hints or tips are greatly appreciated!

Brautag is German for “Brew Day” and this is the perfect system for you to brew your best beer yet! HERMS stands for Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash System. This is our favorite style of brewing system because it uses indirect heat to warm up your mash. This eliminates issues with scorched grain and gives its user very consistent brewing temperatures. The Brautag has three 20 gallon kettles and is the perfect size for 15 gallon batches.
The Brautag is a collaboration between the team behind the Homebrew Happy Hour podcast – and it has been a labor of love! This system was developed from the ground up and is the result of several years of building HERMS systems and brewing on them. The goal with this system is to allow someone to get it set up and brewing quickly and easily. The Brautag has been designed to be easy to brew on and this has been achieved by using very intuitive controllers coupled with videos and written documentation. For detailed information on this system please visit www.brautag.com or watch the video below!
What’s Included:
3 premium stianless steel Brautag 20 gallon kettles with durable ball valves and easy to use stainless steel quick connects – It makes swapping hoses around a breeze!
Hot Liquor Tank (HLT) is fitted with a 50′ half inch stainless steel recirculating HERMS coil for the most effective form of heat exchange.
Mash Tun comes with two premium quick connect attachments for sparging and a durable false bottom to ensure clear recirculation for your mash and sparge.
Boil kettle is fitted with premium components such as the tri-clamp fitted immersive heating element (which makes it easy to remove for cleaning or replacement) and stainless steel valves with quick connects.
The Brautag controller is an innovative no-nonsense controller developed to make your brew day better. It’s easy to understand which makes it easier for you to fully control the brewing process. Dial in your temperatures with ease and control the entire process at the flick of a switch or push of a button.
Comes with two high quality centrifugal pumps!
Brew table is optional
Wort chiller is optional

Corny Keg Fermenter Lids – convert kegs to fermenters – $14.95 at Keg Connection
Fermenting Lid from Keg Connection
More Info
From the product description, check product page for current description, price and availability:
Use your keg for fermenting with this converted lid with a bung and airlock! Compatible with ball lock and pin lock kegs.
These have a hole that’s designed to accommodate the included stopper and airlock. That allows you use a Cornelius Keg as a fermenter. Use a 5 gallon keg as a secondary for a 5 gallon batch, use a 5 gallon keg as a primary fermenter for smaller batches or use a 10 gallon Cornelius Keg as a fermenter for 5 gallon+ batches.
These should fit standard ball lock and pin lock kegs.
Color Code Keg Post O-Rings for Easy Identification:
Valuebrew carries two color schemes to color keg posts. Doing this allows you to quickly identify keg posts. Gray and Black match standard keg QD colors. Blue and Green are meant to be remembered by “Blue for Beer” and “Green for Gas”. All options are made from FDA rated silicone. Since they work equally well on gas and liquid posts you can also mix and match to come up with your own color coding standard.
