- 360° StepLess: uniform 360° compression and uniform surface pressure
- Narrow band: concentrates transmission of clamping force, less weight
- Clamp ear: compensates for component tolerances, adjustable surface pressure
- Dimple: increases clamping force, spring-effect compensates for changes in diameter due to thermal expansion
- Specially formed strip edges: reduced risk of damage to parts being clamped

A sizing note – Oetiker Stepless clamp sizes generally refer to the largest diameter in mm. As an example a size 13.3 usually means that the Oetiker Stepless clamp is 13.3 millimeters (about .52″) in diameter uncrimped. Also Consider: Oetiker Clamp Tool via Keg Connection
17.8 mm is about .7″, 21 mm is about .83″
