Finally, a quality siphon for home brewing, distilling, and wine making. For siphoning out of a carboy, bucket or FermZilla. This siphon includes a 60″ long x 1/2″ interior diameter silicone tubing, and the stainless siphon wand itself is 22″ long. A glass ball is enclosed in the end, which combined with a stainless spring, start the siphon for you when you move it back and forth. Sucking or filling the siphon full of fluid is not required: just dip it into the fluid to be transferred, and jiggle it up and down a few times.

This whole assembly is plasticiser and BPA free and virtually unbreakable. It is made out of 304 grade stainless steel and is easy to take apart for cleaning. Easier to start than a conventional siphon but at the same time similarly simple to use and clean.

Note: Some of the pictures and the video show it with vinyl tubing, but it comes with silicone tubing. Silicone is the best because it can be used with everything from beer to hard alcohol.

INSTRUCTIONS
1: Sanitize and rinse your siphon
2: Make sure you have the full vessel significantly above the empty vessel you are filling into
3: Attach the curved siphon to the hose
4: Submerge the end of siphon into your full container.
5: With long swift strokes shake the siphone tube up and down to start the siphon action

The next generation WilliamsWarn BrewBottler. This counter-pressure bottle filler allows you to bottle from a ball lock homebrew keg without losing any carbonation. The BrewBottler can accommodate bottles up to approximately 330 mm (13″) in height and 150 mm (5.9″) in diameter. This allows a variety of bottle types to be used, including bottle sizes up to 3L (101 oz.).

Filling
Once the gas and beverage hoses are connected via the simple push-lock fittings on top of the valve, you just open the gas side for a few seconds to pressurize the bottle and purge air, close that and then open the beverage side to allow beverage to enter. With back-pressure in place, the beverage fills without foaming issues or carbonation loss. Pressure release and therefore fill flow rate are controlled by how open the variable pressure valve is set.

A 500ml bottle (1 US pint) can be filled in 40 seconds and a full 5-gallon keg can be bottled in roughly 30 minutes. Since your beer was already carbonated before you bottled it, your bottled beer is ready to consume immediately! And thanks to the purging process, your beer will be exposed to less oxygen and will maintain its original flavor profile for longer. Keep some bottles on hand, send them to your next competition, or take them to a party to impress your buddies.

Get instant pressure reads with the back illuminated Digital Mini Pressure Gauge from KegLand. Compatible with 8 mm Duotight fittings and Gray Ball Lock QDs. If you’re using the original BlowTie spunding valve without pressure gauge, you can use a Duotight tee fitting in-line between the ball lock QD and the BlowTie to take pressure readings with the Digital Mini Gauge.

KegLand has developed the world’s most compact mini digital gauge with backlight illumination. This very compact design retains high accuracy while still meeting the desirable small form factor. This meets the growing need as mini keg systems, mini regulators and other more compact keg dispensing solutions are required.

Traditional analogue gauges require a small capillary mechanism where a small pipe expands and unravels under pressure. This in turn drives a mechanical cog to rotate the gauge needle. This age-old technique works quite well especially in large gauges but as this mechanism is manufactured smaller and smaller a tradeoff between accuracy and size becomes the issue. With very small gauges such as a 27mm x 27mm Mini Gauge, it’s difficult to make them better than 10% accuracy due to the physical constraints of the mechanical components.

Hands on Review: NukaTap Flow Control Faucets!

Nukatap Flow Control Keg Faucet

There are a wide variety of options for how to take your kegged homebrew with you to a party or meet up with friends. There is a big draw to kegging your homebrew because of how it simplifies the process of serving your beer after it’s finished in the fermentor. But it’s obviously less portable than individual bottles. There are mini keg/growlers you can fill from the tap, or bottle fillers that you can connect right to your tap. But these options all come with the extra step of cleaning and filling additional “stuff”. Being able to serve directly from the keg has advantages from that perspective.

Flow Control Faucet Disassembled

The most common option of serving from the keg is the picnic tap/cobra tap attached to a length of beer tubing. The downside of cobra taps is their propensity to fail, or propensity of your partygoers to not know what they’re doing and end up spilling/wasting a lot of beer. A jockey box is great for a bigger event where you’re going to be pouring a lot of beer over a longer period of time. But these are expensive, big/bulky to haul around, and makes another thing that has an involved cleaning process afterwards.

There have been ball lock keg faucets out on the market for some time. But unless you’re using these on a growler with a restrictive dip tube in it, these aren’t very practical. Putting a regular faucet on a keg gives you a cup of mostly foam unless you take special care to nearly de-carb your beer first (and who likes flat beer?). For these to work properly when directly attached to a keg, you need a flow control faucet. Kegland’s ball lock shank – Review – has the same interface as a regular keg shank like you have on your keezer, so they just mate this to their regular Nukatap. Then you can serve directly from the keg, and it’s not a big piece of gear to haul around with you or clean up later.

The KegLand Stainless Steel Mini Beer Kegs are specifically designed for home brewing/growler dispensing. They are suited to small batches and suited to people who want to fit them into their home refrigerators. You can naturally carbonate using priming sugars or force carbonate and serve your beer with the optional ball lock lid (item P07, see at right). They come with a silicone gasket sealed stainless threaded lid, so you can fill them with beer and let them naturally carbonate, or carbonate as needed with the optional P07 ball lock lid. You will be given a chance to buy this lid (you do not need a Ball Lock Lid for every keg) when you put this in your cart.

These fit into a standard domestic refrigerator. The optional Ball Lock lid for these kegs use a flexible silicone dip tube the kegs can also be dispensed on their side or upright. The flexible silicone dip tube of lid P07 is heavier than beer, and will sink to the bottom even if the kegs are on their side. Kegs are equipped with a 30 PSI relief valve, and have a maximum pressure of 45 PSI.

Kegland Mini Kegs use the gold standard acid bath electrolosis to pacify the 304 grade stainless steel making the more resistant to rust than any other mini keg on the market. These are the only mini keg that uses a special robotic technique to weld the kegs from the inside out. This means KegLand gets a superior welding finish that is more sanitary than any other mini keg available. Although there are many other mini kegs that come from China simply none have the quality and finish as the genuine KegLand minikegs.
