Kegland’s Draft Line Cleaning Pump is a single hand operated pump that attaches to a tee. The tee takes a hand pump and ball lock carbonation cap which connects to a dip tube. This hardware has some alternate uses that this review will also explore.
In true Kegland style this setup is innovative, packed with some surprising features and well priced. Here’s a hands on look.

Bag o’ stuff
This is what you get with the basic pump. Tee, carbonation cap, pump and dip tube.
I installed this on a 2L bottle. You’ll notice the carbonation cap has changed colors. I used one I already had (Kegland brand, just a different color), because I already has a dip tube trimmed to size and installed from a recent update to My Simple Draft Line Flushing Build.
I decided to try and clean two draft lines with this pump to really test it. Here’s the key piece of hardware to clean two ball lock lines at the same time. It’s a Ball Lock Jumper from Valuebrew. There are only a couple similar offerings out there, to my knowledge. This one is unique because it uses their custom color, food grade post o-rings AND… it works with both liquid and ball lock jumpers.
Here it is installed. This is connecting two 10′ EVABarrier tubing runs.

It’s a little difficult to see but… it works. With some pumping, I got a slow steady stream of liquid. Keep in mind this is cleaning two 10′ lines at the same time.William’s Brewing has a package that gets you the pump + a large 2.5 liter growler and BLC. They also sell the standalone pump kit. I actually purchased everything separately because I wanted a full case of these growlers.
Add on a ball lock faucet and you’ve got a portable serving keg without paying for expensive CO2 cartridges. Before you email me/comment/etc… yes this will cause oxidation, I would not suggest this as a long term solution. Only for the occasion that you and your friends will be able to drink an entire growler in an evening. Oxidation won’t have enough time to become a factor. Use another solution for longer term applications.
Remove the tee, add a 2.5L PET Bottle and a Spunding Valve to convert this into a pressure capable mini fermenter. You could potentially do 2 liter batches. Not ideal, but a great way to play around with pressure fermentation at an unbeatable price. See: Fermenting Under Pressure for more on the topic.
Replace the pump with another carbonation cap, use a 2.5 liter bottle and… you have a 2.5 liter keg you can use in your kegerator!
This collection of economical hardware is extremely versatile. As far as a cleaning pump goes, it works well, but, I prefer my own draft line flushing build. That’s very similar but replaces pumping with a quick shot of CO2. That’s less work. Having said that, you get a lot of equipment and capability with this setup. If you’re looking to build my flushing assembly, I suggest buying the Kegland cleaning setup and another carbonation cap. That gives you a ton of flexibility. Line cleaner, mini fermenter, party pump and ball lock mini keg. Overall, this is another win for Kegland, innovative, packed with features and well priced.

I like growlers. I just like them. I have a lot of different designs ranging from basic glass and PET growlers to featured-filled mini kegs, vacuum insulated models, ceramic growlers and more.
As a growler-enthusiast… I have to say I’ve been waiting this thing to be made. Kegland’s KL20893 is a growler sized ball lock keg.
Because it’s a ball lock keg, it works with most existing ball lock keg parts and accessories.
A look at the top. This has a nice easy to hold strap handle. As you can see it sports a standard size keg lid. To my knowledge this is the smallest available ball lock keg.
A closer look at the handle and lid. This lid (like most ball lock style lids) is equipped with a manual PRV. Generally speaking… Both Ball Lock and Pin Lock style lids are the same dimension and are interchangeable. You can use a Ball Lock Lid on a Pin Lock Keg and vice versa. A big difference are the PRV (pressure relief valve) functions between the two styles. Both have automatic safety PRV valves. That is, if the pressure gets too high, both will automatically vent for safety reasons. The difference is in manual PRV functionality. Ball Lock Keg lids have a pull ring that allows you to manually vent the keg as you’d like. You may want to do that for the purpose of removing the keg lid or to vent excess pressure in an attempt to get down to a lower pressure. Take the guesswork out of oxygenation with this handy flow meter. If you’re using pure O2 to oxygenate your wort, you’re likely using a disposable cylinder with a simple brass regulator, and have no way to measure how much oxygen is actually being added. You’re essentially left to finding the “sweet spot” on the dial when you open the regulator and aim for the same spot on the next use. Get repeatable results by adding this flow meter to your setup. This device will allow you to dial in the flow rate and help you add the same amount of oxygen from batch to batch.
The flow meter comes with male flare thread inlet and outlet and includes two Duotight fittings. It’s ready for use with 8 mm OD EVABarrier tubing right out of the box, or you can add a swivel nut and barb for use with other size tubings.
For a good starting point, we recommend using a 0.5 micron diffusion stone and adding pure O2 at a 1L/minute flow rate for 60 seconds to acheive the recommened 10-14 ppm dissolved oxygen.
Features:
Why a Flow Meter? Most regulators that homebrewers use for oxygenating wort are simple setups – Example – via William’s Brewing. They attach to disposable oxygen tanks (typically sourced from a local hardware store) and are little more than on and off valves. No gauges, no pressure control (other than the degree to which you open and close the valve) and no flow control.
Time and rate give you an idea of how much oxygen you’re really adding to your wort. Time is easy to track. Rate, not so much, at least with typical homebrew O2 regulators. If you want more or less oxygen for your next batch, it’s mostly a guessing game.
Enter a flow meter. This particular model has a range of 0 to 5 LPM. This model also appears to have an knob that allows you to adjust the flow rate. Note: .6 MPa is about 87 PSI.
With both time and flow rate you can establish a more reliable baseline to work off of. This information should also help you to get better repeatability between brews.

High Performance Double O-Ring Design:

In the past, I did some trials on the different types of wort chillers, and ended up with a counterflow chiller as the best solution for me. Of course, it depends on what you are prioritizing as a feature. Plate chillers are the fastest, but after I had a clogging incident, I had no confidence I could ever get it 100% clean again. Immersion chillers (even fancy ones) were slower, but most notably, they required me to continually bob them up and down in order to really be effective. The counterflow chiller is fast, and the relatively large passageways mean you don’t have to worry about debris clogging them up.
Here’s how a Counter Flow Chiller (CFC) works. You wort flows inside a smaller diameter tube, which sits inside a larger diameter tube that’s filled with your cooling water. Heat gets drawn out of the wort through the conductive walls of the inner tube (made of heat-conductive metal like copper or stainless steel). To keep the package size compact, these very long lengths of tubing get coiled up on top of each other like a snake. And there are 4 connections- wort in, wort out, cooling water in, cooling water out.

Pressurized fermentations are becoming increasingly popular, and for a good reason. Some of the benefits that you gain from fermenting beer under pressure are: Lower ester production, being able to ferment at higher temperatures without producing off-flavors, and having your beer carbonated by the end of fermentation (rather than carbonating separately for over a week!). Called Unitanks because you can use them for both fermentation and carbonating. You can serve beer directly from uni tanks, counter pressure fill bottles or easily transfer beer into kegs using pressure.
Fermenting lagers under pressure is a huge benefit of unitank. When yeast ferment under pressure, the production of fruity esters is greatly reduced. This can allow you to brew a lager at 70F an obtain traditional lager flavor. All of the fementers listed below also allow for fermenting under no pressure or greatly reduced pressure which is preferable for making ales where the fruity esters are an essential part of the flavor profile.

The KegLand Semi Auto Cannular Pro can seamer is one of the most compact and easy to use benchtop can seamers around. SAFE 24 VOLT POWER OPTIONS If you have ever used a can seamer you know that you can sometimes spill liquids while processing cans. An optional step down transformer (item V89) plugs into any 110 volt outlet. LIGHT BLOCK Beer can get damaged quickly due to light. If you expose many beers to sunlight for even 5 minutes the beer can become light damaged (“skunked”). Even softer light such as indoor lights will damage beer over time and noticeable skunking can occur with both incandescent and fluorescent light within hours. So unless you keep your glass bottles in the dark all the time you will compromise the beer quality. Aluminium cans solve this problem by blocking 100% of damaging light.
FITS 300 TO 500 ML CANS WITHOUT AN ADAPTER If you have standard USA 16 ounce cans with type 202 lids, you can easily adjust the Cannular Pro to fit. This simple air pump system for ball lock beer line equipped kegerators and keezers makes cleaning easy and portable. There is no need to hook up C02 or waste C02 when pumping cleaner through your beer lines and faucets, Includes a 2.5 Liter PET Cleaning Bottle, as well as an air pump and ball lock exit fitting for attaching your ball lock beer lines. A 14″ long flexible dip tube is included to get all the liquid out of the PET bottle. 4 ounces of BLC Beer Line Cleaner is also included, enough for 4 cleaning sessions.
This does not fit Sankey Couplers without additional fittings. However, if you have a Sankey DuoTight Coupler, it is easy to adapt. Just order our item B12 Beer Ball Lock, and our item Z93 DuoTight Female Flare Adapter, and you can easily switch lines between your Sankey DuoTight Coupler and the B12 Beer Ball lock with item Z93 screwed onto the end of it.

The KegLand Stainless Steel Mini Beer Kegs are specifically designed for home brewing/growler dispensing. They are suited to small batches and suited to people who want to fit them into their home refrigerators. You can naturally carbonate using priming sugars or force carbonate and serve your beer with the optional ball lock lid (item P07, see at right). They come with a silicone gasket sealed stainless threaded lid, so you can fill them with beer and let them naturally carbonate, or carbonate as needed with the optional P07 ball lock lid. You will be given a chance to buy this lid (you do not need a Ball Lock Lid for every keg) when you put this in your cart.
These fit into a standard domestic refrigerator. The optional Ball Lock lid for these kegs use a flexible silicone dip tube the kegs can also be dispensed on their side or upright. The flexible silicone dip tube of lid P07 is heavier than beer, and will sink to the bottom even if the kegs are on their side. Kegs are equipped with a 30 PSI relief valve, and have a maximum pressure of 45 PSI.
Kegland Mini Kegs use the gold standard acid bath electrolosis to pacify the 304 grade stainless steel making the more resistant to rust than any other mini keg on the market. These are the only mini keg that uses a special robotic technique to weld the kegs from the inside out. This means KegLand gets a superior welding finish that is more sanitary than any other mini keg available. Although there are many other mini kegs that come from China simply none have the quality and finish as the genuine KegLand minikegs.

Kegland’s 2 Liter PET growlers offer increased capacity (84 ounces verses a more typical 64 ounces), they have a great pressure rating, use standard soda style caps and a generally very economical. Here’s a hands on look.
A look at the box. When I purchased mine from William’s Brewing they came in packs of 9. This is a pretty good size box, but still shipped for free because I live in the contiguous US and placed a large enough order.
