This stainless steel ball lock cap features soda bottle threads, allowing you to convert a 1 or 2 liter soda bottle into a convenient travel growler. The ball lock is compatible with both gas and beverage disconnects, so you can charge the PET bottle before you leave the house and dispense on the go. Use the Duotight compatible stem to connect a 8mm or 9.5mm reducer, then attach EVABarrier draft line to serve as your dip tube and you’re all set!

These caps also work great for quickly and conveniently cleaning your draft lines. Mix up a small batch of line cleaning solution in a soda bottle, attach the ball lock cap, and then connect it to your beverage line. Place a bucket below your tap to catch the cleaning solution and open your faucet. Then simply turn the bottle upside down and squeeze it to push solution through your line and out the faucet. You can also choose to pressurize the bottle first, but squeezing the solution through is just as effective.

Fermenting with the FermZilla? This is ball lock fitting is also compatible with the FermZilla Collection Container. If you use the collection container to add dry hops, attach one of these caps and you’ll be able purge the container of oxygen before opening the dump valve to introduce the hops. Attach some tubing and diffusion stone and you can oxygenate your wort through the collection container as well!

What are these used for?

  • PET Bottles as Growlers: These are generally intended to convert 1L and 2L bottles to growlers.  Fill up a 1L or 2L PET bottle with your favorite homebrew.  Put one of these on (purge the headspace by squeezing if you want to) and then pressurize for transport.  This should help to reduce oxygen pickup and maintain carbonation levels.
  • Fine tune or rapidly carbonate beer: You can also use this cap to rapidly carbonate beer.  Same process as for transport, just set your regulator to the proper pressure and shake or agitate the PET bottle to help introduce CO2.  Or hook it up to CO2 and let it sit in you kegerator.
  • Flushing Carboys, Fermenters and Kegs – As a piece of tubing the barb, hook to your CO2 line and use this to flush receiving vessels wiht CO2 to reduce O2 pickup.

This stainless ball lock post fits both the beer (out) and gas (in) side of old Cornelius brand kegs, as well as newer A.E.B. Italian-made kegs, Chinese Kegs, and Italian-made Spartanburg VI Kegs that have a number (P/N) stamped on the front ending in PS. These have the same threading as Cornelius plugs, 19/32-18.

Unlike dedicated gas and liquid posts, these allow you to put either a gas or liquid female ball lock fitting on them. Handy for when you want to daisy chain kegs, or when you are transferring beer from keg to keg.

In the past, I did some trials on the different types of wort chillers, and ended up with a counterflow chiller as the best solution for me. Of course, it depends on what you are prioritizing as a feature. Plate chillers are the fastest, but after I had a clogging incident, I had no confidence I could ever get it 100% clean again. Immersion chillers (even fancy ones) were slower, but most notably, they required me to continually bob them up and down in order to really be effective. The counterflow chiller is fast, and the relatively large passageways mean you don’t have to worry about debris clogging them up.

Here’s how a Counter Flow Chiller (CFC) works. You wort flows inside a smaller diameter tube, which sits inside a larger diameter tube that’s filled with your cooling water. Heat gets drawn out of the wort through the conductive walls of the inner tube (made of heat-conductive metal like copper or stainless steel). To keep the package size compact, these very long lengths of tubing get coiled up on top of each other like a snake. And there are 4 connections- wort in, wort out, cooling water in, cooling water out.

This thermowell fits into any 8mm Hole and can literally be installed into almost any fermenter lid. Having the thermowell attach to the lid of a fermenter is ideal as it means the penetration through the fermenter body is at the top of the fermenter not below the liquid line. The Duotight In-Line regulator is an ideal solution if you want to serve different beers at different gas pressures. In a typical multiple line, multiple pressure system you would run a gas line from your main regulator into a secondary regulator where you would set different pressures. While that is ideal, it is a little pricey. This little sweetheart lets you set different pressures at a far lower cost. What we do is set the main regulator at the highest pressure we want in the system – for example a keg of soda that you want to carbonate and serve at 25 psi. Run the gas line into a manifold and then install one of these after the manifold on each line where you want to decrease the pressure, for example lowering to 10psi to serve your British pale ale and 14 psi to serve your summertime lawnmower lager.

Works with both gas and liquid. Easily adjust the flow can be adjusted with the yellow adjustment knob. 8 mm Duotight fittings at both inlet and outlet make this unit perfect for use with EVABarrier 8 mm OD tubing (D1717 or D1718). Features an integrated pressure gauge so you can quickly and easily dial in your pressure setting. The gauge is removable and can be swapped out with a gauge of a different pressure range.

WARNING: Do not exceed gauge pressure. Exceeding the pressure range will damage the gauge.

The KegLand Stainless Steel Mini Beer Kegs are specifically designed for home brewing/growler dispensing. They are suited to small batches and suited to people who want to fit them into their home refrigerators. You can naturally carbonate using priming sugars or force carbonate and serve your beer with the optional ball lock lid (item P07, see at right). They come with a silicone gasket sealed stainless threaded lid, so you can fill them with beer and let them naturally carbonate, or carbonate as needed with the optional P07 ball lock lid. You will be given a chance to buy this lid (you do not need a Ball Lock Lid for every keg) when you put this in your cart.

These fit into a standard domestic refrigerator. The optional Ball Lock lid for these kegs use a flexible silicone dip tube the kegs can also be dispensed on their side or upright. The flexible silicone dip tube of lid P07 is heavier than beer, and will sink to the bottom even if the kegs are on their side. Kegs are equipped with a 30 PSI relief valve, and have a maximum pressure of 45 PSI.

Kegland Mini Kegs use the gold standard acid bath electrolosis to pacify the 304 grade stainless steel making the more resistant to rust than any other mini keg on the market. These are the only mini keg that uses a special robotic technique to weld the kegs from the inside out. This means KegLand gets a superior welding finish that is more sanitary than any other mini keg available. Although there are many other mini kegs that come from China simply none have the quality and finish as the genuine KegLand minikegs.

This 8mm Duotight compatible regulator with 0-60 PSI gauge fits 8mm outer diameter EvaBarrier tubing. Suitable for gas, all components are food grade. The included gauge is accurate to plus or minus 6 PSI.

Note: This unit comes with a 0-60 PSI gauge that is only ¾” in diameter. If you intend to use this regulator in the 10 to 30 PSI range, you will need to order optional gauge C93, which reads 0-30 PSI. Below 10 psi, this regulator is not very accurate. You will also need EvaBarrier tubing to connect this regulator, either our item number Z91 or Z92.

This is perfect for reducing the pressure of one gas line in a draft system – for example, with a single regulator and C02 bottle, you can set the pressure at the C02 bottle with the larger regulator (not included) and then put this regulator inline to reduce the pressure. Handy for when you want to carbonate one keg at 25 PSI and dispense another at 10 PSI.

The KegLand Bucket Blaster will clean kegs, carboys, and fermenters with a steady stream of cleanser or sanitizer while you are free to do other things. Just set up the 3 1/2 bucket basin and fill with your sanitizer or cleanser solution, set a keg or carboy over the jet, and plug in to let the pump continuously rinse. Includes gas and beer ball lock disconnects with tubing so you can hook up a keg and have it continuously rinsed.

For safety, always plug into a GFCI plug. We recommend the use of Brewer’s Edge, PBW, or Saniclean cleansers in this unit, as Star San will foam excessively.
