The “Big Brother” to one of our best-selling pumps! Expect the same quality that customers have come to expect from the MKII Pump (PMP500) but with more power. This 65 watt magnetic drive pump is powerful enough for homebrewers and micro brewers alike. Use it to move hot wort in an all-grain system and also to transfer wort from boil kettle to fermenter. The pump head is made from 304 grade stainless steel with 3/4″ threaded ports that can easily be converted to tri-clamp. The magnetic drive allows you to slow down the flow without damaging the pump. This pump is not self-priming so do not run the pump dry. The pump head can be rotated in 60-degree increments, allowing for 6 different pump head orientations.

We recommend adding two 1.5″ T.C. x 3/4″ Female BSPP adapters to the ports. From there you can use a ForgeFit 1.5″ T.C. x Male QD to use quick disconnects with your lines, or convert to your preferred tri-clamp fittings.

A new way to IPA! Firestone Walker’s Hopnosis IPA represents one of the tastiest examples of a new beer style that is quickly gaining ground—Cold IPA. These beers feature the massive hopping schedules you’d expect from an IPA but are then fermented cold with a lager strain. What Firestone Walker Has to Say About Hopnosis:

While IPAs are typically fermented with ale yeasts, cold IPAs like Hopnosis are fermented with lager yeasts. Remember that IPA stands for India Pale Ale, so fermenting an IPA with lager yeasts signifies a break with tradition.

“When you use a lager yeast to ferment an IPA, you get a cleaner and less ester-driven aroma profile,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “The colder fermentation also creates a lighter backbone that helps accentuate the bright, tropical hops we’re using. So while Hopnosis offers a lot of things you love in a straight-ahead West Coast IPA, the lager yeast is what pushes it toward the Cold IPA style.”

A growler with style! Your friends will be impressed before you ever crack the lid. ‘What is a growler?’ you ask – typically it is a plain 1 gallon glass jar with a screw cap that is used to store, move and serve your draft beer. The growler is filled from the tap (we suggest filling a cold growler from the bottom with a section of 1/2″ id tubing connected to your faucet) and then transporting to friends. This is much easier than moving a whole keg, and it limits your friends consumption of your homebrew!

This ancient looking, german-styled model, is certainly the Rolls Royce of growlers. Have you ever ridden in a Rolls Royce? I haven’t, but I imagine this growler will deliver you that same type of high-roller experience without those annoyingly spendy maintenance costs.

A #10 Stopper fits in the opening.

 

This is one of the first nice growlers that I purchased and I still love it. It’s very well built and looks great.

Set of four used ball-lock kegs and four complete o-ring rebuild kits plus free shipping. Each rebuild kit includes 5 o-rings – one for the lid, 2 for the body connects, and 2 for the dip tubes.  These 4 Packs ship free, which means a great value for you!

A great price on unrebuilt kegs.  These kegs could have residual soda syrup inside and will need to be cleaned. Most will hold pressure but it is possible some will not.  To totally rebuild the keg, to ensure no pressure leaks,  you should also consider a new relief valve and poppets (part number listed below).

To clean the inside Alkaline Brewery Wash works great for eating away sticky residual soda residue. Kegs will come with some stickers from their use as soda syrup kegs. Stickers can be removed with effort.

The body connnects on a keg are the metal posts where the quick disconnects attach too. They should be removed for cleaning and sanitizing before each use. Kegs can come with either 11/16″ body connects or 7/8″ body connects. We sell deep sockets for the removal of either one. So if you do not have these sockets at home and want to make sure you can disassemble the kegs you may want to purchase both sockets below. Then you will always be covered as your keg collection grows.

Ball lock corny kegs are approximately 8.5″ Diam. x 25″ Height. 26 1/4″ Height with Flare fittings. Measurements may vary slightly.

Glass rinsers are great. You can use them to clean glassed just before serving to chill and wet glassware for a better pour.

The Kegland glass rinser is 1/2″ BSP which from what I’ve been told is compatible with NPT.

The introductory pricing on this ($59.99 as of 1/18/24) is steep in my opinion. Many similar sorts of options are available for a lot less.

The MKII is a perfect pump for your system and comes highly recommended for brewers stepping up to all-grain brewing. Rather than schlepping heavy kettles filled with hot liquor or wort around your brewery, or awkwardly stacking them into a 3-tier gravity setup, allow this handy pump to move liquid from vessel to vessel while everything remains in place. The magnetic drive allows you to slow down the flow without damaging the pump. This can be done by attaching a ball valve to the outlet side of the pump, and then you simply open or close the valve to control the flow rate. The pump itself is not self-priming, but priming is super easy thanks to the pull ring PRV which will help ensure the pump head is full of liquid and trapped air is released before powering it on.

Tri-Clamp Pump Head
The T.C. pump head can be removed quickly and easily using the 3″ tri-clamp. This means no drivers or power drills are needed to back out the six Phillips head screws that mount the pump head on the standard version of the MKII. Whip the head off in a flash to clear out spent grain, hop material, or clear a blockage. Attaching the pump head with a tri-clamp also allows the head to be rotated at any angle in a full 360-degrees. This makes it easy to configure the plumbing to your unique brewery setup.

Inline Design
An “inline” pump head simply means the input and output are on a straight horizontal line with one another which can make it easier to integrate into your brewery setup. If you’re using a 3-vessel horizontal system, the inline pump head will make it easier to keep your hoses neat and tidy compared to pumps heads with a center inlet.

PRV Purge Valve
The corny keg style PRV will make priming the pump a breeze. Simply let bleed the pump head to purge air out before turning the pump on and you’ll avoid any cavitation issues. The PRV also acts as a safety so you do not over pressurize your pump head or brewery system.

304 Stainless Steel
The entire pump head is made from 304 grade stainless steel so it’s highly resistant to chemicals, heat, and physical abuse. The 1/2″ BSP threaded ports can be used to attach barbs, quick disconnects, camlocks, tri-clamp adapters, or any other 1/2″ fittings you prefer.
