Cascade hops are the classic American hop that really started the hop craze. Defined by its citrus, and often more specifically grapefruit flavor, it is now sought out around the World. Cascade hops are a true dual purpose hop that can be used for bittering, at the end of the boil, or the fermenter. Used in so many craft brewed pale ales, but none more famous than Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale. You cannot go wrong using Cascade hops in all kinds of American style ales.

Made in Italy, these are premium glass carboys are set apart from others because the glass has a more uniform thickness with less inclusions. Inclusions, or internal defects, occur when the glass is not cooled slowly over a longer period of time. This 5 gallon size works great as a secondary fermenter and for fermenting meads/wine.
Our top recommendation for glass carboys.

Keep your yeast happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater wrap! Unlike those old heater belts, the FermWrap covers a wide area of your carboy or fermentation vessel, promoting an even heat distribution (11″ tall x 25″ wide.). Using tape to adhere, the FermWrap can be attached directly to your fermenter, or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation, you can increase the temperature of your ferment from 5-20 degrees Fahrenheit. This differential can be increased by using our carboy bag to insulate a carboy (this has been tested). To decrease the temperature differential, stick only a portion of the FermWrap to the fermenter.
With 40 watts of heat spread over almost two square feet it provides gentle even heating. Draws 40 watts. 115V.
For more precise results, we recommend a temp controller and carboy thermowell for the ultimate in fermentation temperature control. Or for the best control, use the dual stage control and carboy thermowell, as well as a refrigerator, to control both the high and low temps.

Protect your regulator from damage in the event your tank gets knocked over. A Gauge Cage is cheap insurance that can help save you a costly regulator replacement.
CO2 and Nitrogen tanks, especially the 5lb size most brewers use, are notoriously wobbly and easy to knock over once the regulator is mounted on them. This handy Gauge Cage helps protect the gauges themselves, as well as the fragile points where they thread into the regulator body, from damage in case of a fall.
Specifically sized to fit our D1060 and D1070 Taprite brand regulators, these cages may not fit some budget regulators manufactured overseas.
