Ghost Town Brewings Nose Goblin Imperial IPA via MoreBeer
From the recipe description, check product page for current description, price and availability:
Description
Nose Goblin from Ghost Town Brewing in Oakland, CA is their infamous West Coast-style Imperial IPA with big honking notes of white grapes, melons, berries, and uncouth levels of dankness. This dangerously smooth double IPA is all about the hops with very little malt character. Almost exclusively comprised of Pilsner with just a dash if acidulated malt, Nose Goblin is a beautiful clear straw color in the glass. Your nose if free to pick up all of the incredible flavor and aroma contributed from ample whirlpool and dry hop additions.
Ghost Town Brewing’s Nose Goblin took Gold at the 2021 Great American Beer Festival, besting 170 other beers submitted in the Imperial IPA category. Although Ghost Town will switch up the hops on every edition of Nose Goblin, this kit is modeled after the same recipe that took 1st at GABF, featuring additions of Nelson, Strata, and Mosaic® CRYO HOPS®

We Like Space will convert your carbon-based taste buds into pure energy and beam your consciousness to unknown worlds. The flavor of this high-gravity, fluffy-soft brew is like drinking the nectar from an interstellar pineapple while sitting on a beach of turquoise sand, watching sanguine waves crash and recede against the backdrop of a binary sunset. Travelers beware this quasar quenching Hazy Double IPA. Journey too close and it will trap your senses in orbit, slowly pulling you beyond the event horizon until you reach the point where your desire for beer becomes a singularity.
With a 12 oz payload of Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic, We Like Space is one of our most highly-hopped recipe kits. Extremely tropical, with notes of passion fruit, mango, citrus, and pineapple. A heavy helping of Flaked Oats provides a full body and creamy texture, fine-tuned by a late boil addition of maltodextrin.
The out-of-this-world graphic is as much of an inside joke as the name itself. After a long brainstorm of potential beer names, the resulting list had an overwhelming theme of sci-fi and astronomical references. When a coworker remarked that the names didn’t make sense, noticing that there were no additions of Galaxy or Comet, our intrepid kit developers looked at one another, shrugged, looked back at their coworker and said flatly “We like space.”

About: “The original Double IPA! Vinnie Cilurzo began homebrewing in 1989 while in college. In 1994 Vinnie started the Blind Pig Brewing Company in Temecula, CA, a small, low-budget mico-brewery known for their extremely hoppy IPA – an IPA which won silver medals at both the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. Vinnie sold his share in Blind Pig and was hired to manage and brew at the Russian River Brewing Company, a start-up brewery by Korbel Champagne in Guerneville, CA. In late 2002 Korbel decided to get out of the beer business and sold the Russian River name and brand to Vinnie who is moving the brewery to Santa Rosa, CA, 90 miles North of San Francisco, where he and his wife Natalie are opening a brew-pub which will serve homemade pizza and, of course, all of the Russian River Ales. Vinnie has won 10 awards at the Great American Beer Festival in the past six years and was named Small Brewing Company Brewmaster of the Year in 1999. Almost every beer that Vinnie makes commercially started out as a homebrew recipe at one point or another. Even as a professional brewer, Vinnie still homebrews at least 5 or 6 times a year.
This is the original homebrew recipe that was the basis for Blind Pig IPA which won Silver Medals at the World Cup of Beer and the Great American Beer Festival in 1996, the last year Vinnie brewed it. Two ‘dry hop’ additions along with 1 oz of American Oak are added directly to the fermenter after the first week of fermentation. To say it is a very unique, extremely flavorful IPA is an understatement. Vinnie recommends using White Labs California yeast, WLP001.” (keep reading)

Description: In a true work of sorcery, Off the Topper creates synergy between Vermont yeast and an unprecedented flood of lupulin. Overcoming its intense origins, it is a rare, harmonious pint that is extreme only in its drinkability. Beneath the frothing, massive head lies a beacon of freshness and light in each pint. At the eye of the storm is a dry and crisp body. Complex and delicious, Off the Topper balances bitterness with well-attenuated yeast that work together to weather the hurricane of hops.
