Five Star Chemicals says that you should not soak items in Star San solution for extended periods of time. Even chemical resistant bottles are not impervious to damage caused by extended exposure to acid. Glass and stainless are exceptions. This product is made from food grade Santoprene, PP, PE, Silicone and stainless components.

Battery Life
The pump has large 18650 li-ion rechargeable battery. On a full charge the battery will empty the tank 18-30 times so it lasts for ages. If you use fine mist it will be closer to 18 times but if you use a jet/stream the battery will last closer to 30 times.

Chemical resistant plastic is a good thing when dealing with Sar San.  I used to store diluted Star San in a distilled water gallon jug.  When it eventually ate through the plastic and leaked all over… I realized that was a bad idea.

Five Star Chemicals says that you should not soak items in Star San solution for extended periods of time. Even chemical resistant bottles are not impervious to damage caused by extended exposure to acid. Glass and stainless are exceptions. I can’t tell you an exact time frame, but personally, I’m now aiming to replace spray bottles every six months. See: Star San Tips and Tricks
