My rule of thumb for grain storage is 5 lbs per gallon. At that rate the 13 quart (3.25 gallons) container would hold about 16.25 lbs of grain. The 33 quart (8.25 gallons) container would hold about 41.25 lbs of grain. These are estimates.

As of this posting, Iris’ website shows this [item 300555] as 12.75 Quarts or 3.1 gallons. My rule of thumb on grain storage is 5 lbs per gallon. With that estimate, this should hold about 15.5 lbs of unmilled grain. That’s a rough estimate, actual capacity will vary.

I’ve seen the capacity of this container described a couple different ways. 67 quarts and 55 lbs.

My rule of thumb for grain storage is 5 lbs per gallon. 67 quarts = 16.75 gallons. At 5 lbs per gallon that’s… 83.75 lbs of grain storage. This is an estimate. It should easily hold a full 50 to 55 lb bag of grain with room to spare. These are estimates.
