From what I’ve gathered this has a 4.5 gallon capacity. My estimation for unmilled grain storage capacity is 5 lbs/gallon. At that rate, a 4.5 gallon container could hold about 22.5 lbs of malt. That’s a rough estimate. Actual capacity will vary.

I’ve seen the capacity of this container described a couple different ways. 67 quarts and 55 lbs.

My rule of thumb for grain storage is 5 lbs per gallon. 67 quarts = 16.75 gallons. At 5 lbs per gallon that’s… 83.75 lbs of grain storage. This is an estimate. It should easily hold a full 50 to 55 lb bag of grain with room to spare. These are estimates.

This has a 50 lb rating. That rating is for pet food. This is model #300585. According to the manufacturer’s specs for this model number this has a capacity of 65 quarts. My rule of thumb for unmilled grain storage is about 5 lbs per gallon. 65 quarts is 16.25 gallons. At an estimate of 5 lbs per gallon, you could store about 81.25 lbs in this container. That’s a rough estimate, actual storage capacity will vary.

According to specs on the manufacturer’s website model #NMP-S has a capacity of 15 quarts. 15 quarts = 3.75 gallons. My rule of thumb for unmilled grain storage is about 5 lbs per gallon. At that rate this would hold about 18.75 lbs of grain. That’s a rough estimate, actual capacity will vary.
