Keep your yeast happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater wrap! Unlike those old heater belts, the FermWrap covers a wide area of your carboy or fermentation vessel, promoting an even heat distribution (11″ tall x 25″ wide.). Using tape to adhere, the FermWrap can be attached directly to your fermenter, or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation, you can increase the temperature of your ferment from 5-20 degrees Fahrenheit. This differential can be increased by using our carboy bag to insulate a carboy (this has been tested). To decrease the temperature differential, stick only a portion of the FermWrap to the fermenter.

With 40 watts of heat spread over almost two square feet it provides gentle even heating. Draws 40 watts. 115V.

For more precise results, we recommend a temp controller and carboy thermowell for the ultimate in fermentation temperature control. Or for the best control, use the dual stage control and carboy thermowell, as well as a refrigerator, to control both the high and low temps.

Ferment 5 gallon batches of beer in these beautiful conical fermenters, and control the temperature of your fermenting beer to within 1 degree, any time of the year! The included Dual-Stage Controller will simultaneously control both the cooling unit and the 40-Watt heater. The cooling unit mounts to the outside of the cone with no internal contact with the beer. The cooling is extremely gentle on your yeast, changing wort temperatures at about a degree an hour. It can get to and hold your ale fermentation temperatures of 65-72 Fahrenheit all the way up to ambient temps of 100 Fahrenheit. In addition, it can get to and hold lager fermentation temperatures of 48-52 Fahrenheit all the way up to ambient temperatures of 80 Fahrenheit.

The Leg Extension Option (CONP770) is needed if you wish to gravity feed into a keg. If you would like to use CO2 to push your beer into a keg, you will need the CO2 Adapter Package (CONP775).

Cooling is made to work with 5 to 6 gallon batches. Please note that when dropping temperature, your fermenting wort will contract and may pull liquid from your blowoff bucket into the fermentor. This may also occur when dumping trub from the bottom port, or when racking from the racking arm.

In my opinion the original ITC-308 was and is a game changer as far as homebrew temp controllers. In comparison to available controllers available at the time the ITC-308 was released, it offered loads more features, including dual stage control, for a fraction of the price. Game changer! The addition of Wi-Fi control and monitoring to this great controller has made a great temp controller even better. Check out our Hands on Review of the ITC-308.
