Max/Min Temperature: The Max/ Min temeprature data will update every 24h. Pls be attention that the product cannot hold the max/min temperature all the time. The product is not support to view all the recorded previous temperatures. You can press button CLEAR once quickly to remove the Min/Max temperaturen data. And it will update to the new data. The indoor temperature detection cycle is 10 seconds, the outdoor synchronous cycle sensor 1 is 57 seconds, and sensor 2 is 67 seconds.
Alarm Function: With audible alarm, you can set the maximum and minimum alarm value manually. It can ring when the temperature value reaches at the point of limit max or min alarm value that you pre-set. After turning on the temperature alarm, the alarm function will only start after 10 minutes (when it is first turned on, regardless of whether the temperature has reached the alarm temperature range, it will not sound an alarm)
Easy to Use & Install: There are 6 function keys on the main unit and signal indicator on the transmitter, you just press the corresponding key to turn on/off the alarm, switch the Celsius or Fahrenheit. With integrated magnets, a hanging hole and a bracket at the back, you can put the main unit in refrigerator door, hang on the wall or stand on the table.
NOTE: 1. Please install the new battery to make sure the accuracy. If the screen does not display content, please check to ensure that the transmitter is connected to the host. 2. If you buy 2 sets, they will conflict with each other. In this case, install one of these first. Then install the other one after the first thermometer has been connected firmly.

Thoughts from HBF… So, this has two wireless sensors along with an ambient thermometer that’s built into the main unit. It also records minimum and maximum temps for each sensor. You could use one sensor in your fermentation chamber and one sensor in your kegerator to monitor temperatures. The min and max feature would also give you a great idea about how things are working. As a bonus you also get all the same info for the ambient temp where the base is located. Note that the sensors need to be within the stated range of this unit (or closer).

New WAND Forehead thermometer: This is off topic for us, but considering the current environment, it seems appropriate to let you know… ThermoWorks has introduced the WAND™ – Non-Contact Digital Forehead Thermometer.

Works with Surface Temps… I ordered one of these and have received it. It DOES work for regular surface temps. You just need to change the mode by holding both the start and power buttons at the same time. That means it can work as a more traditional IR thermometer as well as a forehead thermometer. I don’t know that I would suggest this as a primary use as it does not have laser targeting and it’s pricey for that purpose. Having said that’s it’s nice to have a secondary use or as a backup to your primary Kitchen/Brewing IR thermometer.

Monitoring Kegerator or Fermentation Temps With Samsung SmartThings

I have Samsung SmartThings installed in my home. SmartThings requires a central hub. That hub communicates with other… SmartThings. Loads of compatible devices using a number of protocols are available from multiple vendors. Search Amazon for “smartthings” to see what’s out there. After these things are connected, you can program automations or routines that define how they operate under certain conditions. All of this is interoperable with other platforms like Google Home and Alexa.

This post is about using SmartThings Multipurpose Sensor to monitor temperatures in your kegerator or fermentation chamber. Labels and photos show both kegerator and fermentation chamber scenarios. This concept should work for both applications.

The Multipurpose Sensor can do several things including monitor temperature. Note that a SmartThings hub and Wi-Fi are also required.
