Single stage temperature controller with 1,800 watt rating. Controls a heating or a cooling device. I would say that 1,800 watt is a higher capacity than many of the homebrew controllers out there.
A couple things I really like about this controller… It features a direct plug in instead of an extension cord style plugin. I think that’s a tidier setup in a lot of cases. Second it features start and stop temperatures. Normally temp controllers have a set point and an offset. The controller attempts to keep things close to the set point within the constraints of the offset. So, let’s say it’s 68 degrees with a 2 degree offset. That works just fine but it’s more confusing than.. start at this temperature, stop at this temperature.
