From the product description, check product page for current description, price and availability:

This used Torpedo ball lock 15 gallon keg has the same great features and superior quality as its predecessors, and will allow large-scale homebrewers to fit their entire batch into a single keg. These kegs are laser welded by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer, so you won’t find any nooks or crannies for contaminants to hide. Made with rolled stainless steel handles that are comfortable to grab. “In” and “Out” are etched near the keg posts for a quick and mistake-free set up when connecting lines in a refrigerator or kegerator. The 15 gallon kegs can be stacked on top of each other with ball lock fittings still attached.
Specifications:

Total Capacity: 15.2 gal.
Max Pressure: 130 psi
PRV Rating: 85 psi
Height: 24.75″
Diameter: 16.05″
Made from 304 Stainless Steel
Shipping Box Dimensions: 25-3/4″ H x 18″ L x 18″ W
Weight: 32.16 lbs
These kegs are used but in excellent condition. I have a good number of these but when they are gone they are gone and tough to find. They have only been rinsed and examined during refurbishing so Corny Keg recommends that you clean and sanitize before use. The kegs pictured are stock photos of new kegs but these used kegs look great and will perform like new or we will take them back.

As of this posting these are on sale for $42.95. Check site for current price & availability.

Great Deal on Pin Locks!

cornykeg.com pin lock keg deal

Good used pin locks have been hard to find…  When I started brewing pin locks were cheaper than ball locks, but that has changed. There’s been a real reversal in used keg pricing. Used pin locks have been tough to find in stock, especially at anything close to what I would call a good price. For example, see MoreBeer’s Pin Lock Offering. This is supply related. New pin lock kegs are not coming into the homebrewing market and we’ve finally hit an availability wall.

cornykeg.com has sourced hard to find refurbished pin lock kegs. Prices for these refurbishe kegs start at $42.74 each when you buy a four pack. Get them while you can!

Back in Stock, Get ‘Em While You Can… 4 Packs of Used Ball Locks at MoreBeer!

homebrew ball lock kegs

Pack of four used five gallon ball lock cornelius kegs from MoreBeer.

More Info

From the product description, check product page for current description, price and availability:

Set of four used ball-lock kegs and four complete o-ring rebuild kits plus free shipping. Each rebuild kit includes 5 o-rings – one for the lid, 2 for the body connects, and 2 for the dip tubes.  These 4 Packs ship free, which means a great value for you!

A great price on unrebuilt kegs.  These kegs could have residual soda syrup inside and will need to be cleaned. Most will hold pressure but it is possible some will not.  To totally rebuild the keg, to ensure no pressure leaks,  you should also consider a new relief valve and poppets (part number listed below).

To clean the inside Alkaline Brewery Wash works great for eating away sticky residual soda residue. Kegs will come with some stickers from their use as soda syrup kegs. Stickers can be removed with effort.

The body connnects on a keg are the metal posts where the quick disconnects attach too. They should be removed for cleaning and sanitizing before each use. Kegs can come with either 11/16″ body connects or 7/8″ body connects. We sell deep sockets for the removal of either one. So if you do not have these sockets at home and want to make sure you can disassemble the kegs you may want to purchase both sockets below. Then you will always be covered as your keg collection grows.

Ball lock corny kegs are approximately 8.5″ Diam. x 25″ Height. 26 1/4″ Height with Flare fittings. Measurements may vary slightly.

  • This offering has been out of stock for MONTHS at a time. It’s no surprise as… bulk quantities of used kegs are running out.
  • As of this posting four packs are back in stock (singles are still sold out). At $279.99 or $70 each with free shipping these are one of the best deals currently available.
  • I have no idea how long these will last… Check MoreBeer for current price & availability
  • Shipping is free with a qualifying $59 order to many US addresses. Price, promotions and availability can change quickly.
  • Food Safe Replacement O-Rings: You’ll probably need (or want) to replace the o-rings in these kegs.  I recommend food grade silicone – Food Safe Replacement Keg O-Rings via Valuebrew – More Info

I have no idea how many they’ll have but if the past repeats itself, I’d suggest ordering sooner rather than later.

Update… singles of these are no longer carried to the point where MoreBeer removed the product page!

Used Kegs Master List

This is a listing of many of the used keg offerings that we’re aware of. Listings that are still available, some may be currently sold out. Discontinuations are still in the list and crossed out for reference.

What’s Going On With Keg Prices and Availability?

I have an article on this that explains this in detail and details our situation as it has unfolded. The short answer is… bulk availability of used kegs has become a thing of the past. I could provided you with a lot of reasoning behind that, but one illustration I can give you is that AIH has COMPLETELY REMOVED pages for their used ball lock offerings both singles and four packs. Over the years, these offerings had been some of the most reliable and have often been the best deal around.

$30 kegs are gone. Even if a large cache of used kegs are found in I don’t think we’re going to even come close to the prices we saw 10 years ago. Why would someone sell kegs for $30 or $40 when $80 or $90 is the going rate?

If you’re in need of kegs or will be in the near future, I think now is the time to buy.

Our roundup has been and will continue to be the spot to find the best deals available.

Pin Lock Keg Pricing Commentary:

There’s been a real reversal in used keg pricing. For example, see MoreBeer’s Pin Lock Offering.  I’m guessing this is related to availability. New pin lock kegs are not coming into the homebrewing market and we’ve finally hit an availability wall. Along those lines, this is the best deal I’m aware of for a pin lock keg. If you’re a devoted pin lock user, now is the time to pick some up.

Now is the Time To Buy Kegs…

I think now is the time to buy keg. Pricing and availability have continued to be an issue. I see no reason to think that it will get better. My guess is that today’s availability and pricing is, generally speaking, the best we’ll see.
