The LUKR side-pour faucets are well known all around the world for their unique design and special pouring abilities! These faucets are instruments of artists, which can positively affect taste and other qualities of poured beer. This European-style side-pour faucet features a unique side pull action that allows users to recreate the traditional pouring methods used for such world-renowned beers as Pilsner Urquell and other Czech Pilsners.
To operate, you can turn the lever to adjust the pour style you are going for. Opening it just a little creates a dense and thick foam on the beer, while opening it all the way creates a bright, strong pour much like a typical beer faucet. Internally, a micro screen aerates the beer much like the sparkler in a stout faucet. With this faucet, you will be able to recreate the three different traditional ways in which Pilsner Urquell is poured: The Hladinka, Šnyt, and Mlíko!
BEER GLASS SELECTION
Choosing the right beer glass is just as important as the faucet when doing side pull style pours. Lukr faucets are designed to be inserted all the way into the glass so the nozzle can be IN the beer while pouring. This is essential for making sure the foam stays on top of the liquid and is ultimately what sets LUKR faucets apart from others. We have found that 0.5-Liter mugs (like the one pictured above) are the best option when pouring with your LUKR faucet.
For more information on the Hladinka, Šnyt, and Mlíko pours, you can visit Pilsner Urquell’s page on these at the following link here: Foam is Flavour: Three Pilsner Urquell Pours
