For me, getting a refractometer was one of those upgrades that made a lot of difference.  With a refractometer you need a sample size of two drops.  I figured that this would pay for itself in beer savings alone.  I also had just broken my hydrometer and came to the realization that hydrometers are made of breakable glass that can break! 🙂

The Pale 31 California Pale Ale is what some refer to as “The Perfect American Pale Ale”. Light in body and color, but strong in hop flavor and aroma, this is one of those beers that most beer lovers will always want on tap. Potential Uses:  Help with cleanup on brew day, make your kegs shine like new (see photo below) and use around the kitchen and for BBQ.  I use similar gloves when I apply rub for smoking meats.  It helps to prevent against cross contamination and I also like that it helps keep my hands from smelling like… bbq rub.  If you’re a BBQ-er like me, check out…  BBQ Finds, it’s like Homebrew Finds, but for… BBQ.

Do you having a kegging system with beer faucet, and want to bottle kegged beer? The Nukatap Counter Pressure Bottle Filler is an easy way to fill bottles directly from your beer faucet while preserving carbonation in the bottle. The O ring sealed beer inlet nipple press fits into any beer faucet with 10.0 mm inner diameter spout/nozzle including Nukatap, Intertap, Perlick Forward Seal, and Ventmatic faucets.

For the gas inlet side, a male ball lock fitting is provided, so you can use any ball lock gas connector to attach the C02 purging gas. This gas should be at the same pressure as your kegerator dispensing gas, and should be connected to your kegerator C02 regulator. Not Included: you will need a spare gas line from your regulator kegging system with a female ball lock on it to connect your purging C02 gas.

The integrated counter pressure relief valve gives you control of the counter pressure and thus the filling speed. How fast the bottle can be filled without too much foaming depends on CO2 level, beer temperature and bottle temperature. Keep everything cold for the best results.

Fits all 16 ounce and 32 ounce ‘Grolsch’ style swing top bottles.

 

This connects directly to your compatible forward sealing faucet (Intertap, Nukatap and more) and allows you to easily counter fill bottles directly from the tap.

This is DuoTight compatible, although you don’t need to use DuoTights throughout your entire tap system to use it.

  • Adjustable gap setting allows you to fine tune your preferred crush level and adapt to the kernel size of different malts
  • 12 TPI knurl to efficiently pull grain through rollers while leaving hull intact to form an excellent filter bed for sparging
  • 3 roller mills are more effective at cracking the husk of the grain and offer better crushing performance in a single pass
  • Included crank handle can be detached to power the driven roller with an electric drill or motor

Mill your own grains for ultimate freshness with the MaltMuncher three roller grain mill.  Includes a 12 lb hopper, adjustable rollers, and hand crank. The handle can be removed to use the mill with a drill. The MaltMuncher is backed by a one year warranty and is built to last with rollers made from cold rolled steel.  The body and hopper is made from 6061 grade aluminum. The optional PPE base board is much stronger than comparable particle board or plywood bases and makes for a secure platform to set on a bucket.
