The quality of this burner is great, but to be honest it is slow to get things to a boil. I’ve used it for many batches (10+ gallon batches) and it takes a very long time to raise the water temp. I ended up buying an SP10. The SP10’s quality is definitely not great. The way the burner is soldered to the frame is terrible to say the least and people have had ones that don’t have the burner facing perfectly upright. But the one good thing about it is that it puts out waaaay more BTUs and it has never scorched my beer.
Just wanted to put a pros and cons list for anyone considering picking one up.
