The Catalyst Fermenter – $169.99 at William’s Brewing
THE CATALYST FERMENTER . Description, via William’s Brewing: “The 6.5 gallon Catalyst is a conical fermenter that is sloped at 45° and made of Tritan, a BPA free material. Tritan is dishwater safe, more scratch resistant than PET plastic, and includes an oxygen barrier. It is so tough that wort can also be transferred straight from your kettle to fermenter without cooling if necessary (although we do not recommend this, always best to use a chiller).
The Catalyst is unique among conicals because it is only 27″ tall, making it the easier conical fermenter to fit into a standard refrigerator. Features an integrated 3” butterfly valve where trub can be dumped, permitting primary and secondary fermentations to take place in the same vessel. After fermentation is complete, you can bottle from the same vessel using the included tubing adapter for the butterfly valve. Yeast harvesting is easily accomplished by using commonly available wide mouth (3” diameter) mason jars.
Includes a 6.5 gallon tank, sturdy and compact stand, 3” butterfly valve, gallon markers, bottling attachment, transfer tubing, tubing clamp, one 16 oz. Mason Jar, and allen wrench. 27” tall, 17” wide, 14” deep.”
As of this posting, William’s has this marked down $30 to $169.99. Looking around, I’m seeing this selling for right around $200 at most shops. Looks like inventory is low. Check product page for current price and availability.
